Jose Mourinho gave one Fenerbahce fan the experience of a lifetime after inviting him to step onto the team bus with the players and staff.

In a video uploaded to Fenerbahce's official YouTube channel, a fan was seen running alongside the team bus and fist-pumping in a display of support. Moments later, that same fan was seen boarding the bus in a somewhat bewildered state, having been asked to come in by Mourinho. He got the chance to meet the players and then stayed with the squad at their hotel for a team meal.

Mourinho hasn’t always been particularly happy in Turkey, but his issues have been with the football structure and officials he has encountered in the country, engaging in more than one rant, rather than its everyday people. Even with a tough exterior as a serial winner, the Portuguese has regularly shown a softer side over the years. Back in 2005, Mourinho auctioned his famous coat to raise money for charity. More recently, in 2023, he allowed local kids into the Roma training ground to watch a live session.

Fenerbahce are targeting a first Super Lig title in more than a decade and Mourinho has helped take the fight to leaders and reigning champions Galatasaray this season. His team are on an excellent run, taking 34 points from their last 39 on offer prior to Sunday's kick-off against Alanyaspor. Mourinho, personally, hasn't claimed a domestic league title since 2014-15, when he won his third Premier League crown with Chelsea.
