Former Manchester United winger Jesse Lingard posted a lengthy training video clip from Dubai as he vows to make a comeback this year.

The English attacker has been a free agent since parting ways with Nottingham Forest at the end of the 2022/23 season. In the past few months, he had trained with West Ham and Steven Gerrard-managed Saudi Pro League club Al-Ettifaq but no contract was offered to him. The 31-year-old is currently training alone in Dubai.

On Tuesday, Lingard posted a lengthy video clip from his training session on Instagram with the caption, "Good work in Dubai a couple of weeks ago." He received a harsh comment on his post as a fan wrote, "Stop f***ing about and get back to it."

Lingard has been linked with a move to several clubs including Barcelona, Everton and Major League Soccer side Portland Timbers but the deals never materialised. Earlier this month, the player cut ties with his former agent after failing to find a new club in the last six months.

The former Brighton and Leicester City player is indeed determined to make a comeback in 2024 as he recently revealed that he is done with partying, drinking and gossip. It remains to be seen if he manages to find a new club before the ongoing January transfer window ends to start afresh.
