Leeds United have reportedly agreed a £25m fee with Manchester United over the deadline day signing of winger Daniel James.
The Lowdown: Leeds close in on signing
The Whites haven’t had the busiest summer transfer window, but they look set to do some late business.
James has been heavily linked with a move to Elland Road in recent days, having fallen further down the attacking pecking order at Old Trafford.

The Verdict: Exciting addition
James may not yet be the finished article, not always possessing the best end product – he only scored nine goals in 74 appearances for Manchester United – but he is an exciting signing.
The 23-year-old has incredible speed which always makes him a threat and he also works endlessly for the team, which will no doubt appeal to the demanding Marcelo Bielsa, who had tried to bring him to the club back in 2019 when the Welshman was playing for Swansea.
He can battle with the likes of Raphinha and Jack Harrison for playing time and should immediately jump ahead of the much-maligned Helder Costa in the pecking order.
