More than 18 months after the incident, The Sun reports that police have no leads despite a 'detailed investigation' and that the couple are 'devastated' that the probe has been dropped. The report adds that the culprits are 'likely to get away with it' in a big blow to the homeowners.
A Cheshire Police statement reads: "Following a detailed investigation by detectives, this case has now been closed with no suspects identified. Should any information come to light, then it will be reviewed by officers."

It is said that the police investigation has discovered that this was the work of a professional foreign gang. The report adds that Grealish's mansion near Knutsford is in an area targeted by burglary rings from Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and Peru.
