England international midfielder Jack Wilshere has only ever played for Arsenal, but as the end of the season draws close, an agreement over a new Gunners contract certainly does not.
The high wages Wilshere commands, along with his awful injury record, have put Arsene Wenger off offering him a more lucrative contract and they will likely also be warning signs for any potential suitors.
Among said suitors are likely to be Everton – who are reportedly willing to pay a huge signing on fee to get their man – and West Ham, who expressed an interest in bringing the playmaker from North to East London in January.
Both clubs could do with the added spark the diminutive – he measures up at 1.72m or 5ft 6in as per Transfermarkt – midfielder would offer after a season of struggle, unrest and unimpressed home fans.
