It was almost chanceless with most of his runs coming square of the wicket.The Leicestershire openers set off aggressively and were soon up to 4 runs
an over. Iain Sutcliffe looked as if he was making amends for his dropped
catch earlier on in the day and quickly raced into his thirties. He took a
liking to the bowling of Chapple who was bowling far too short for this type
of wicket.Chris Schofield the leg-spinner picked up 3 wickets in the first innings and
he was soon brought into the attack and he made the breakthrough in the
ninth over.Darren Maddy has had a poor season so far and he was the first to go in
Leicestershires second innings. He tried to cut a ball that was too close to
him and got a thin edge through to the wicket keeper. Schofield being the
successful bowler.With 30 minutes of play left the Leicestershire batsman continue the fight
to protect their wickets for a full days play on the fourth day of this match.
