Joselu received plenty of ridicule from Newcastle United fans last season for his failings in front of goal.
The 28-year-old ended the season with just four goals from 30 Premier League outings, although only 19 of them were starts.
The current campaign is only three games old, but Joselu has found the back of the net twice.
Both goals were in vain, though, as Newcastle were on the losing side on each occasion.
Joselu struck in a 2-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on the opening weekend of the season, and he also scored on Sunday in a 2-1 loss to Chelsea.
Against the Blues at St James’ Park, Rafael Benitez’s side were able to frustrate the visitors for over an hour, but a penalty from Hazard and an own goal from DeAndre Yedlin meant that Newcastle came away with nothing.

Despite this, Joselu’s bullet header to make the game 1-1 at the time received plenty of praise.
Now, some fans are feeling optimistic that the attacker will go on a scoring run.
